Text Message Reminders

Text Message Reminder

We’d like to make it easier for you to stay connected with your care. By choosing to receive text messages from the Gator Student Health Center, you agree to receive messages at the mobile number listed on your patient account. These messages may include appointment reminders and confirmations, scheduling updates, billing or account information, and other important information related to your care.

Receiving text messages is completely optional, and choosing not to receive them will not affect your ability to receive care from us. You can update your text messaging preferences at any time through your patient portal. For step-by-step instructions on how to opt in or opt out of text messages, please visit http://health.sfsu.edu/

Message frequency may vary, and standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply. Because text messaging may not always be secure, please avoid sharing sensitive or confidential health information by text.

Text messages should not be used for urgent medical needs or emergencies. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911 or seek immediate medical attention.

By opting in, you are giving the Gator Student Health Center permission to send healthcare-related text messages to the mobile number associated with your patient account.
