Immunizations - Frequently Asked Questions
What are the required immunizations before I can register for classes at SFSU?
Hepatitis B - (Pertains to students 18 or younger at beginning of first semester.) You must show proof of your Hepatitis B immunization before you will be allowed to register. Measles/Rubella - You must show proof of your Measles/Rubella immunization before you will be allowed to register.

When are the Immunization Clinic Hours?
During Spring and Fall semesters, the Immunization Clinic hours are Wednesdays 10:00 am - 1: 00 pm. TB tests ONLY on Tuesdays & Fridays 8:10 am - 9:30 am.

How many MMR vaccinations are required?
Only one MMR vaccination is required at this time. The Chancellor of the CSU will be revising the requirement to two MMR immunizations due to the greatly increased health risk.
Can I get my MMR vaccination at the SHS?
Yes. You can get your vaccines at the Student Health Services. If you are getting two MMR vaccinations they should be at least 4 weeks apart.
What is the California public school exemption?
Students enrolled in California public school (grade school through eighth grade) for the seventh grade or higher on or after July 1, 1999 do not have to submit the SFSU proof of vaccination form
