Health Insurance
The Student Health Services provides most of the basic health services which students will need while they are enrolled at SFSU. Students may also need to use community services such as speciality services and testing (e.g. MRI), emergency care or care for acute illnesses or injuries while the SHS is not open. For these reasons, the CSU and SHS strongly encourage students to have health insurance.
All international students (F-1 and J-1 visas) and all students living in University housing are required to have health insurance.
